Hello to all! This is my first post to the Wild and Wicked Authors group, and I just have to say a huge thanks for having me. :)
And now, holy cow, can you believe it's already November? I remember back in June when I was trying to figure out where the winter went and then came August and where did summer go? Now it's November. The days really do go faster as we age. On that note, my 3-year old said today I'm almost as big as you, Mommy! Soon I'll be 30, too. Well I'm a few years older than that, but the idea of her being 30 something meant I was 60 something and that just left me heartsick. Yes, I definitely want to be 60 something some day, but let's slow it down just a little bit, honey, okay? Or, better yet, a lot of bits!
November (and the end of October) has brought some good things. New cover art, new contests, new releases, and an extra hour in my day today. If only I could find an extra hour every night...I might actually get my work done. The new cover art is for Dangerous Ties, a paranormal BDSM anth, I have the pleasure of being in with Devyn Quinn and Anya Howard. Seriously, I couldn't think of better anthmates than these gals. I also received in cover art for What Happens In Vegas... After Dark. Along with adding both covers to my website, I've updated my site with an excerpt for each. Too, there's a new contest.
I also mentioned a new release. I adore writing historical anything--research is like the best kind of candy. My latest release is a trade paperback out of Ellora's Cave. In English Arms is a two-author anthology. My story, A Gift of Myrrh, is set in 17th century Scotland, and features a highly willful Scottish heroine and her late-husband's twin brother who is part English--all English as far as the heroine is concerned. I loved watching these two butt heads (and heat up the sheets, or parapet as it woull happen) as they fell in love along the way. You can check out an excerpt from In English Arms on my website as well.
Wishing a banner November to all! :)

Devyn Quinn October Newsletter--and a hot Halloween Giveaway
Hello, Readers!
Dang, it seemed I was just settling into September and here comes October. Only three more months left in this year. Why does it seem the older I get, the faster the years go by? Seems to be some kind of a time warp, doesn't it?
Have a bit to share this month, good news! Dad has finished his treatments in Dallas with the laser knife, and for all intents and purposes his cancer had been eradicated. He will have his first check in Dec, to make sure everything is okay and that the cancer stays gone. Given that this is his second bout with cancer, it is a miracle.
Rambling around, I somehow managed to get my car's windshield cracked. Yep, someone hit it with a rock and now I've got a beaut of a crack going right across the driver's side. This is annoying me to no end. I hate rocks. Grr!
Had a scare when the little rat Rascal (one of my 4 ferts) went missing for a day. Now when Rascal doesn't how up for her morning cup of coffee, you know something is deadly wrong. Well, it turned out it was my fault the little darling was missing. The day before I'd had to dig in the storage area for the box my wireless modem came in. The sucker burned out, and I needed the original packing. While I had the storage open, Rascal managed to get herself into a suitcase. Without thinking, I happily packed everything back and shit the door, then trotted off to town to get a new modem. Since I then spent the tinkering with the modem, I totally forgot about having the area open. Well, some hours later, I noticed one small rat was missing. I feared the worst: that Rascal had gotten under the cabinets and gotten outside through the hole under the sink. I looked and looked for her, to no avail. The next day it finally dawned on me that ferts will get into some strange places. I opened the storage and, lo! There was Rascal snuggled now in the suitcase, sleeping peacefully. Aside from being a little hungry, she was none the worse for wear. So everyone is happy and healthy and all accounted for.
On the writing front, I was also thrilled to receive a Recommended Read from Dark Angel Reviews for Sins of the Night!
"SINS OF THE NIGHT is emotional, provocative and downright titillating. I had chills from the very first page and I still get them just thinking about the story."
The complete review can be found here: www.darkangelreviews.com/Sins_of_the_Night.html
Oh, almost forgot! I also have an INTERVIEW with DAR this month, so swing on by and look around! https://www.darkangelreviews.com/Devyn_Quinn.html

Unleash Your Story

I'm proud to be participating in this year's Unleash Your Story fund drive to benefit cystic fibrosis research. From their website: "Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a devastating genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. More than ten million Americans are symptomless carriers of the defective CF gene. Advances continue to be made in finding a cure, but your help is needed now-more than ever-to help keep up the momentum of this life-saving research. To learn more about CF and the CF Foundation, visit http://www.cff.org/. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those with cystic fibrosis. Thank you for supporting the mission of the CF Foundation!"

New Release: DARK HUNGER, by Sara Reinke
On September 2, DARK HUNGER, the second book in the Brethren Series of vampire romance by Sara Reinke hits bookstores shelves nationwide. Continuing the story introduced in last year’s DARK THIRST, which Romantic Times magazine called a “new twist on the vampire legend,” DARK HUNGER takes readers on a whirlwind, cross-country adventure.
Tessa Noble-Davenant will do anything to protect her brother, Brandon, even if that means traveling across from New Orleans to California with Rene Morin. A cynical, brooding, yet startling sexy vampire, Rene seems to take pleasure in finding fault with Tessa’s every move. Despite this, a sensual attraction begins to develop between the two, one to which neither can afford to succumb. Rene and Tessa are being followed -- and a single misstep will put them at the mercy of forces more dark and powerful than they can even imagine...
New York Times best-selling author Lara Adrian calls DARK HUNGER “a paranormal treat to be savored” while Romantic Times hails, “[Reinke is] definitely an author to watch!”
DARK HUNGER is available in mass market paperback from Kensington Publishing’s Zebra imprint for only $4.99. You’ll find an excerpt, purchase links, the promotional video and more online at www.sarareinke.com.
